Recommended Visual Basic Software
Although finding and reading a great Visual Basic book is an excellent start to your
Visual Basic career, I cannot over emphasize how important it is to actually get your
hands on a copy of the Visual Basic 6.0 compiler. This way you can get the hands on
experience you need in order to really master the language. By typing in and compiling
all the sample applications in the books you read will allow you to quickly become
comfortable with the Visual Basic development environment. Eventually you'll be able
to write and test your own applications!
Below is my review of Microsoft's Visual Basic 6.0 Deluxe Learning Edition software package.
This is an excellent affordable package which contains the Visual Basic compiler
in CD format, and two excellent books, one of which I have reviewed on my main page.
